Overview of Xiaomi POCO C61 Full Review – Pakistan Price, Specs, Features, Pros & Cons

The POCO C61 is a very budget-friendly smartphone released in early 2024. It seeks to offer the essentials: a large screen, basic camera setup, reliable battery life, and a modern version of Android without many extras. It’s built for people who need a functional phone for calling, messaging, social media, and light apps—not for gaming or heavy multitasking.

Latest Price in Pakistan Rupees

The POCO C61 is selling around PKR 32,300 for lower variant (4 GB + 64 GB) and about PKR 33,800 for the 6 GB + 128 GB version. Common street offers also show around PKR 34,999 for the 8 GB + 256 GB version in some cases.

Key Features

  • Display & Build: It has a 6.71-inch IPS LCD screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate. The screen resolution is HD+, leading to a pixel density of about 268 ppi. Build is simple, with plastic body, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and colors like Black, Blue, and Green.

  • Performance: Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio G36 (12 nm), paired with variants offering 4, 6, or 8 GB RAM and storage from 64 GB up to 256 GB. The processor handles light-use tasks well—browsing, social media, basic apps—but struggles with demanding apps or heavy multitasking.

  • Camera System: Rear camera setup is minimal: an 8 MP main sensor plus a very low-resolution auxiliary lens (0.08 MP) for depth/aux purposes. The front camera is 5 MP. Image quality in good lighting is passable; low light or zoomed shots are weak.

  • Battery & Charging: Battery capacity is generous at 5,000 mAh. It gives good usage throughout a full day with moderate use. Charging is quite slow for this class.

  • Software & Extras: Runs Android 14 with MIUI skin. Has dual SIM, microSD expansion in some variants, 3.5-mm headphone jack, and standard sensors (accelerometer, proximity, etc.). No 5G; only 4G LTE. USB-C charging.

Pros

  • Strong battery life for basic use thanks to the 5,000 mAh cell.

  • Large screen with 90 Hz refresh helps make UI feel smoother than older 60 Hz phones.

  • Plenty of storage in higher variants makes it better for media and apps.

  • Very low price—good value if you only need basic features.

  • Clean, modern software version (Android 14) helps for security and usability.

Cons

  • Display resolution is low (HD+), so sharpness not great.

  • Processor is weak for heavy tasks—slow when many apps open, or for graphics-intensive games.

  • Camera is very basic; low light performance is poor.

  • Charging is slow; you’ll wait a long time to fill up.

  • Build is basic and likely less durable than mid-range phones.

  • Limited extra features (no 5G, wireless charging, etc.).

Last Words

The POCO C61 is a good choice if your priorities are affordability, battery, and basic reliable performance. For around PKR 32,000-35,000 depending on variant, you get an adequately big screen, long usage, and just enough hardware to run essential apps. If you don’t care about high-end cameras, fast charging, or gaming, this delivers solid value. But if you want smoother performance, sharper display, or extra features, it’s worth saving up a bit more.
