Also ceramics are very brittle due to their high hardness, so if you drop that phone it's going to chip into a lot of pieces (similar to glass) ๐ฅ
This would actually be perfect for me. I work as a glass cutter so a huge issue I have is my shit getting scratched by glass I have to be super careful about setting my phone down on my table. So a phone that instead scratches the glass itself is awesome
You still gotta be careful. Pocket sand has all sorts of tiny rocks, and some have a hardness above 8.

Same coating, i think, on some of my knives. First ones I got, I thought they were getting scratched so easily. Especially with the history of black blades on cheap knives back in the day. But with the new super steels and DLC or TiCN coatings, any scratches are usually just marks, or particles, left by other objects that can just be wiped off.
