14:14 I have been asking for variable aperture since they dropped it on the S20. As apertures get wider even for ultra wide and telephoto for more light, taking photos of documents become less sharp. Samsung's macro mode is essentially using the ultra wide for its smaller aperture but even that ultra wide lens is already increasing the aperture on the recent models. The Huawei P60 started having variable aperture some years back and I am waiting for Samsung to implement this before changing my phone.

- that matte "coating" is destroying OLED deep blacks and and colors overall and nobody is talking about it. Why? - crease is identical to Samsung and Oppo, they even used the same laser scanning and infill technique as Oppo. - Samsung no longer uses vapor chamber for foldables because they switched to graphite sheets for thinness. And Samsung didn't have thermal issues for a decade or more, unlike Apple who does not use PPS charging and does not support battery bypass. - let's not forget that Samsung did under-screen camera in a foldable 5 years ago and gave up on it, Apple didn't quite learn from that.

The aperture adjustment is nothing at all like a feature to slow a router down. The sensor is tiny so for context adjusted to full frame: f/1.48 = ~f/5.2 f/1.8 = ~f/6.3 f/2.8 = ~f/9.8 f/4 = ~f/14 Now when is this useful to adjust? Obviously for when you want to shoot at a certain slow shutter speed without overexposing the image, so for example for smooth waterfalls. It can also generate a cool starburst effect. Now generally if the f number is too low the image also loses a lot of sharpness in subjects that are further away or too close from the main subject in favour of bokeh. However f5.2 isn't a very low number however if you're shooting landscape and multiple subjects at different lenghts from you stopping down will increase sharpness. Also, things like edge softness and vignetting are issues that appear at a too low f number, this is aggresively corrected computationally but it's better to just not have these issues for the best results as reducing vignetting computationally adds noise and softness can't be accuratly corrected. Sure it's more niche on phone cameras than on dedicated cameras, obviously. But saying it is like a feature to slow down a router is crazy....

Just for perspective....samsung fold 8 base version is better than iphone duo in specs...so dont even bother comparing it to the fold 8 ultra. Only thing that caught my eye is the page transitioning effect. Not enough to get me to swap from fold 8 though. The fold 8 screen ratio is also larger aka larger screen while still being completely lightweight. Dont let that sway your decision though, just how I like team galaxy overall, you may feel the same about apple. Completely understandable, just make sure you are getting your moneys worth.
